Minnesota Diabetes in Youth Program

If your child has diabetes, it's essential that he or she learns early on how to manage diabetes. Minnesota Diabetes in Youth Program (MDYP) can be part of your child's overall healthcare plan.

At each two-hour visit, pediatric diabetes specialists will assess and educate your child on blood glucose monitoring techniques, food planning, exercise, pattern control, insulin adjustments and psychosocial issues.

"Dietitians in MDYP worked a meal plan with our son who's a very picky eater. And they always inform us about the new products on the market. We have never walked out of the MDYP clinic without learning something new and feeling more confident." —Parent
