Diabetes Care in Thailand
There is a high incidence of diabetes with few specialists to treat the disease in Thailand.  Primary care doctors who are poorly trained in diabetes care see the majority.

Staged Diabetes Management Update
International Diabetes Center has trained 40-50 endocrinologists and other specialists in SDM. An expanded training program is being planned in collaboration with the Diabetes Society, the Endocrine Society and Diabetes Education Society in Thailand.

Local training of physicians by specialists who have already received SDM training is underway.
