News: Updated recommendations from ACCORD trial
National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute announced Feb. 6, 2008, it has stopped the intensive glucose treatment within a large, ongoing clinical trial around diabetes and cardiovascular disease, due to safety concerns. The study is known as the Action to Control Cardiovascular Risk in Diabetes (ACCORD) trial. Learn more
